National Adoption Month celebrates families built through adoptions and recognizes the approximately 300 children in Georgia’s foster care system. The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) understands the importance of children growing up in families, and the agency’s goal is to place children in loving homes when a child can’t return to their parents. No matter the age, adoption is critical—but older youth and keeping siblings together are crucial needs of our agency. Now, we’re focusing our efforts on helping teens and siblings find homes and encourage you to consider adoption.
This November, we ask that you join the Georgia DFCS as we celebrate adoptive families, raise awareness, and recruit families for children who need a loving and committed family. Please call 877.210.KIDS or visit fostergeorgia.com to learn how to become a caregiver. Help children across Georgia realize their dreams—and grow your family in the process.
