In honor of our 90th anniversary, we’re recognizing 90 Georgians who have made their mark on our incredible state. Today’s honoree is Maria Taylor, sportscaster for NBC Sports.
Maria is an Atlanta native and graduated from Centennial High School in Roswell, where she played both basketball and volleyball and earned numerous awards. She went on to play basketball and volleyball at the University of Georgia.
Maria is the first woman to hold the top spot on Football Night in America, the most-watched sports studio show. Her resume is stacked, hosting major events like the NBA Finals, the Olympics, and the NBA Draft. You can catch her this summer hosting the late-night coverage of the Paris Olympics!
