Originally known as Armistice Day until 1954, Veterans Day is held every year on November 11th to mark the armistice to end World War I, which took effect on “the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918.
Veterans Day is a time to celebrate the bravery and sacrifice of all veterans, and this year we honor all those who have served, especially our own.
